Marilyn has worked in the NHS as a Health Practitioner for 25 years, although her career has spanned more than 35 years in the public and private health sector.
As a qualified psychotherapist Marilyn specialises in fast and effective counselling techniques allowing clients to move on quickly and with a minimum of consultations.
She is a qualified and experienced trainer delivering domestic abuse and safeguarding children training to professionals in the statutory and voluntary sectors.
Marilyn co-ordinates and co-facilitates the Freedom Programme developed for women who have been the victims of abuse to help them move on with their lives.
When providing training or facilitating group work such as the Freedom Programme, Marilyn incorporates her psychotherapy skills into the programmes to maximise the effectiveness of the course and to provide immediate counselling and support to attendees should it be required.
